Coupons
This document provides comprehensive information on how we handle coupons, which act as promotional codes that fans can use when subscribing to a tier. Coupons can be customized to fit specific needs.
You can view yo6.alerts.mdur coupons by navigating to Dashboard > Coupons.
Creating a Coupon
Note: Once you create a coupon, you cannot edit it, only delete it. Ensure you configure the coupon correctly before creating it.
Create coupons at Dashboard > Coupons > New coupon.
Basic Fields
The following are the basic fields required for coupon creation:
| Field | Example | Description |
| Name | 50% OFF | Display name for your reference only. |
| Code | 50POFF | The promotional code that fans will use. |
| Applies to Tiers | VIP | The list of tiers for which this coupon can be used. |
| Max Redemptions | 5 | The number of times this coupon can be used. |
| Redeem By | 01/01/2024 | Coupon expiration date. After this date, it cannot be used. |
Duration Field
The duration field specifies how long the coupon will be active after being used.
Options
| Option | Description |
| Once | Discount applies only to the first billing cycle (e.g., month). |
| Forever | Discount applies to all billing cycles until subscription cancellation. |
| Repeating | Discount applies to a selected number of months. |
Discount Field
The discount field defines the discount amount applied to the subscription.
You can choose between:
- Amount: Subtracts a specific amount from the subscription price.
- Percent: Subtracts a specified percentage from the subscription price.
Deleting a Coupon
Deleting a coupon prevents it from being applied to future subscriptions or customers, but it doesn’t remove the discount from any subscription or customer that already has it.
You can simply delete a coupon by clicking the trash icon in the coupon row.
